Kana Miyamoto was born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1991 and currently lives in Tokyo.

It is said that children's pretend play can be cathartic for them to play their favorite roles. Painting is close to that, the feeling that the girls are acting out the story I am creating. The girls can be crazy in their paintings, they can set themselves on fire, they can be violent, they can bleed, and no one can blame them for anything. I want to express people's inner grotesqueness, innocence, and ambivalence.
