Kome lives in rice growing country but can't stand eating rice. She doesn't have the heart to tell all her rice farmer neighbors, even though they keep bringing her 30 kilogram bags of rice. She has started finding alternate uses for all the rice. Stuffing pillows and gluing them to paper with other grains to make portraits of people's pets.
